Iggy Azalea’s latest single “Savior” feat Quavo might seem like she is waiting for Mr. Right to come save her from all her troubles; from canceled tours, a bad public break up with NBA basketball player Nick Young, to sueing an ex-boyfriend (not Nick Young) for releasing her old music and forging contracts to rumors of Rapper T.I. being a ghost writer for Iggy is just some of the trending stories that have circulated media over the past four years so it is safe to say that her road to fame has been tuff. However Iggy Azalea stated in a recent interview that she is not talking about a man or woman…
“I’ve never really been this honest about the things I struggle with. I always try to be really tough for everybody, especially for women.
It is not a record about you needing a man or a woman to come and save you in a relationship. It’s about you being your own savior and finding your own strength within yourself to figure it the fuck out.
It’s a really hard record for me to have written and I think it’s going to be one I really struggle to perform, too, just ‘cause I’ll probably wanna cry every single time.”
